dc.description.abstract | This photograph of Maraval Road illustrates how the bamboo stalks crossed one another to form arches over the road. There is other vegetation in the photograph but the arched bamboo is the focus of the photograph. The unpaved road at center has four carved drains which are probably the product of wheels of a vehicle. There are a few poles off the road at left and right. One lone, well dressed cyclist poses legs crossed with his bicycle for the photograph. He wears a black, buttoned-up coat that makes a v-like shape at top and bottom, white shirt and pants and possibly a hat. | en |
