Abstract
This postcard shows the San Fernando Hill which is formally named the Naparima Hill circa 1900, dome-shaped with a flattened top on the horizon. The hill used to be a major characteristic of the San Fernando skyline but by the end of the 1970s it was about a third of its original size. Quarry operators extracted the hill's soil for road construction in Naparima until 1977. Pointe-a-Pierre is in the foreground where a grassy hill and lowland area can be seen.
