Abstract

Anchor, Mike Jarvis and various correspondents explore a number of issues in Jamaica, Haiti, Cuba and Guyana. In Jamaica the withdrawal of P.J Patterson, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance from the Cabinet of Prime Minister Michael Manley is reported. The report on Haiti explores the situation of ousted Presidnet Jean-Bertrand Aristide, while that on Cuba report on claims by the government regarding foreign help to dissidents. Guyana's election campaign and the position of President Desmond Hoyte on a democratic election process is reported on.
