After weeks of protests by the oposition and trade union groups in St Vincent and the Grenadines, an agreement has been brokered by OECS for elections to be held before March 2001. The OECS leaders indicated that the meeting was a major success, not just because the impasse in St. Vincent and the Grenadines was resolved, but also the recommitment of OECS countries to the various issues facing the sub-group.
