Abstract
This article addresses the fears of educators, students, and parents in Trinidad and Tobago about the country's participation in the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) administered by the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC). It locates the reason for this fear in the absence of an effective communication strategy for the diffusion of the innovation, and provides suggestions on the elements of such a strategy
