Dr. Debra Ferdinand-James

Debra Ferdinand-James serves as an educational technologist at the School of Education with over fifteen years of experience in adult education both locally and internationally (F2F and online). She facilitates under – and post-graduate courses in technology and instructional design and is the blended learning champion for her department, assisting faculty with structuring course content for a blended format and using tools for online delivery. Her research supervision of post-graduate students focus on topics related to teaching with technology and TVET/Workforce Development. Her research interests include faculty engagement in blended learning, technology-enhanced learning, mixed methods, academic support, curriculum inclusiveness, and workforce education and development. She also presents on these topics internationally and locally at conferences and publishes regularly in peer-reviewed journals.
