    Quality assurance review: Self assessment report

    This self-assessment reflects on whether there was fitness of purpose of the programming of the School of Education, The University of the West Indies (UWI) during the period 2000-2003 in relation to the goals and objectives of UWI. During the process of reflection the following spheres of activities were examined: 1) graduate and undergraduate programming, 2) inter-departmental collaboration; 3) research in collaboration with local, regional and international governmental and nongovernmental agencies; 4) public services on boards and committees at national and regional levels; 5) more focused outreach activities with schools and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs); and 6) the establishment of a forum through weekly newspaper articles on topics of importance in education.
