    Education and dependence: Implications for Latin America and the Caribbean

    This paper--using the phenomenon of dependence as the analytical vector--examines the reciprocal limitation between education and society in the context of the reciprocal limitation between the dominant society and the dependent society. It also examines the different perspectives for the study of the phenomenon of dependence and, more specifically, the perspectives of the dominant and dependent societies. It analyses how the phenomenon of educational dependence manifests itself in space and time in the specific professional field of educational administration, and discusses its consequences
