    Although the retirement of Prime Minister Michael Manley was not on the agenda at the executive meeting of the PNP, speculation still abounds that it will be discussed at a meeting of the party’s executive, the National Executive Council and the Parliamentary Group on Sunday. In Guyana, Opposition Leader Dr. Cheddi Jagan charges Prime Minister Desmond Hoyte with underselling key sectors of state holdings. Finally, participants at a two day conference on women in the media in St. Lucia express disappointment after the Minister for Women’s Affairs, Stephenson King failed to show up to address and formally open the conference.
