    Trinidad and Tobago government met with commercial banks to pass the necessary legislation changing the foreign exchange act. The TandT Central Bank believes that the flotation of the TandT dollar will bolster foreign currency holdings in the country’s system and help the country’s manufacturing sector. A document issued by the central bank outlining the rationale for the move, and correspondent Tony Fraser does an economic analysis.
