    The Trinidad and Tobago government is seeking to remove the option of appeals to the British Privy Council as a last resort for convicted murderers. As Britain's dependent territories meeting in London approach, the most controversial issue thus far is the British directive to Caribbean dependencies to change their laws which criminalises homosexual acts. Anguillan lawyer Bernice Lake comments on the issue and states that Britain is asking for too much.
