The fundamental question addressed if whether, as small countries, an adequate level of investment in human resources is being sustained to guarantee the required knowledgeability of the labour force for competition in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. The paper also addresses some of the requirements for building the knowledge base of the region in the last years of the century, against the background of continuing economic difficulty.Item The educational system and the growth path of the Trinidad and Tobago economy over the 1970s(Economic and Statistical Society, 1973) Henry, Ralph M.;This paper outlines the rationale for including education in economic growth models and the constraints involved in so doing.
