The Commonwealth General Secretary, Chief Emeka Anyaoku leaves London for talks in Washington with the IMF and World Bank. He hopes to discuss matters of mutual interest. High on the agenda would be the impact of the Gulf war on Commonwealth developing countries such as relief measures and aids and pursuing debt relief measures to assist the heavily indebted countries. A recently published report states that developing countries are losing out to Eastern Europe.
