    In this report, the former Governor of the Bank of Jamaica, Headley Brown has been found dead and the police suspect suicide. In the Windward Islands there are rumors about a possible takeover of British importers, Geest. St. Lucia's Opposition Leader, Julian Hunte states he has been reliably informed that the sale of Geest is imminent. Meanwhile, in St. Lucia the Banana Salvation Committee has threatened to take strike action if certain issues facing the industry are not clarified.
