The vendors are sitting in their carts waiting for buyers to come and purchase the cane fodder or cane feed to feed to their cattle. This activity seems to be taking place outside of the sugar cane factory; in the background the roof of the factory is visible and there is also a utility pole and a chimney. At front, bottom left : G.G. Belgrave, Barbados On the right-hand side of the postcard is written “Hope you are all o.k. Love to all at home – yrs – W. L.” This is an undivided back postcard Back of the Postcard: The postcard is addressed to: Mrs. R. Morrison, Berisal, Torquay, South Devon, England. Bar 1X £8 (handwritten in pencil). There is a New York, NY stamp dated June 05, 1905 as well as a 1 penny Barbados postage stamp dated May 22, 1905. At bottom : Platin-Crayon O.L.M. 448:04.
