Abstract
This article argues that there are lessons for Trinidad and Tobago emerging from trends in teacher education globally, and that in order to produce a cadre of teachers who understand and are ready to respond to the imperatives of the information age, stakeholders in the education sector need to come together to form a permanent think-tank for promoting teacher quality
