There is a growing political crisis in St Vincent as protesters call on the government of Prime Minister James Mitchell to resign, following parliamentary approval of increased pension and gratuity for MPs. The anti-government protesters include members of the opposition Unity Labour Party. Mediation teams from ILO and CARICOM will try to resolve the impasse. (00:25-07:14)3. Caribbean countries have won a 15-month stay from industrialized countries which are planning punitive actions against off-shore centres, some of which they claim are in the Caribbean. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) view these countries as havens for tax dodgers and money launderers. (07:15-09:01)4. Demonstrators facing possible eviction from the US Naval Bombing Range on the Puerto Rico island of Vieques, have said they are determined to prevent the resumption of bombing practice there. There are reports that Federal Agents are planning to evict protesters from the controversial bombing range. (09:02-11:45)5. The Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group (CMAG) is concerned about political violence and illegal land occupations in Zimbabwe. Karen Weir reports from a CMAG meeting in London that the Commonwealth Secretary General is planning to visit Zimbabwe this month to help heal the political crisis. Delegates from the International Cricket Council have begun a two-day emergency meeting to discuss the allegation of match-fixing.
