They supplied a significant number of loans to local plantations after being formed in 1840. Their Victorian-style headquarters – with its ornate, cast-iron grillwork – was built in 1895. This downtown landmark is on Broad Street. It has been the home of three different banks since The Mutual became the Sagicor Life Company.
