Gasparee Island is an island made of limestone where an intriguing network of underground caves, caverns and sinkholes can be found. These are a result of a combination of wave action, rainfall and percolating ground-water dissolving the limestone. The caves are one of Trinidad’s tourist attractions.enPlease contact the Main Library, The University of the West Indies for permission to use the digitized images. wimail@sta.uwi.eduTrinidad and TobagoPostcardsCaves--Trinidad and TobagoIslands--Trinidad and TobagoGaspar GrandeGaspareeThe Organ Pipes, Gasparee Caves, Trinidad.
