Typically palms were planted in this manner to announce that you were about to enter a special area or institution. There are buildings just behind the palms on both sides of the road. The building at the right seems to be wooden. A pedestrian dressed in white from head to toe stands beside a car, possibly from the early 1900s, which is parked on the left side of the road, while a similar car can be seen further down the road at the horizon.enPlease contact the Main Library, The University of the West Indies for permission to use the digitized images. wimail@sta.uwi.eduTrinidad and TobagoPostcardsPalmsTreesRural roads"Waterloo road".
