Stalactites, icicle-like formations made of rock, coming from the roof of the cave, are everywhere and one huge stalagmite, a conical formation growing up from the cave’s floor, resembles a hand reaching up out of the cave’s base. The caves are one of Trinidad’s tourist attractions.enPlease contact the Main Library, The University of the West Indies for permission to use the digitized images. wimail@sta.uwi.eduTrinidad and TobagoPostcardsStalactites and stalagmites--Trinidad and TobagoCaves--Trinidad and TobagoIslands--Trinidad and TobagoGaspareeGaspar GrandeInterior of Great Cave Gasparee, Trinidad, B.W.I.Image
