Print.https://hdl.handle.net/2139/38853For the first time in the history of the steelband movement, a pan exam, similar to those done for piano and other conventional instruments, will take place. The first set of exams will be held April 1995. The syllabus took a year to prepare from the staff members of the Creative Arts Center at the University of the West Indies with help from Pan Trinbago. There is a culture of graded music exams and both the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and Trinity College Of London have been coming every year for the past 60 years to conduct practical exams.©Trinidad Newsday Newspapers.
