Prime Minister Denzil Douglas announces the election date will be four months before its constitutionally due date. Montserrat’s Chief Minister is being asked to reconsider a suggestion that would bar residents living abroad from exercising their franchise. A group from the Virgin Islands wants to have their nationality adapted in hope they can be considered Caribbean people.
