There are trees around the circumference and a few buildings (perhaps the pavilion, left and centre). The horse racing track, marked with little white fences, can faintly be seen and the little flecks of white in the grassy areas could be animals grazing. The first recorded horse race took place here in 1828 and horse racing at the Savannah ended in 1994.enPlease contact the Main Library, The University of the West Indies for permission to use the digitized images. wimail@sta.uwi.eduTrinidad and TobagoPostcardsHorse racing--Trinidad and TobagoSavannas--Trinidad and TobagoTrees--Trinidad and TobagoMountains--Trinidad and TobagoCities and towns--Trinidad and Tobago--Port of SpainPublic buildings--Trinidad and Tobago[1930]Buildings--Trinidad and TobagoLivestock--Trinidad and TobagoQueen's Park Savannah (Port of Spain)Queen's Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, B.W.I.-101Image
