The hill used to be a major characteristic of the San Fernando skyline but by the end of the 1970s it was about a third of its original size. Quarry operators extracted the hill's soil for road construction in Naparima until 1977. Pointe-a-Pierre is in the foreground where a grassy hill and lowland area can be seen.enPlease contact the Main Library, The University of the West Indies for permission to use the digitized images. wimail@sta.uwi.eduTrinidad and TobagoPostcardsCities and towns--Trinidad and Tobago--San FernandoMountains--Trinidad and TobagoCities and towns--Trinidad and Tobago--Point-a-Pierre[1900]Hills (San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago)San Fernando Hill from P of P [Pointe-a-Pierre] Trinidad B.W.I.Image
