Title: [Port of Spain]
Abstract: This old postcard features a photograph taken circa 1940s-1950s which gives a glimpse of the architecture of buildings as well as trees in Port of Spain in that era. Parts of two buildings are captured at the left and right edges of the photograph. The concrete building to the left has sash windows, a long concrete fence encompassing a large garden with several palms and a huge Samaan tree. The building to the right is more modest, wooden and has an overhanging balcony trimmed by fretwork. A few people are walking on the pavement below the balcony - a sailor in hat and tie; a lady; a tall man and a man in a suit and hat.
