Abstract

Main Street, Sangre Grande, Trinidad, British West Indies is dominated by male pedestrians. The men are dressed in suits, which are mainly white in colour, and hats. The transport of the day is the horse and carriage. The buildings, single and two-story, that flank the street are made of wood, with their wooden vertical posts both simple and stark, drawing you into the photograph as you try to see past them. A dog is wondering in the street.
