4. UWI graduated doctors have committed themselves to improving the region’s health services. Sandra Baptiste reports that this drive was initiated at a meeting of the University’s Medical Alumni Association in Barbados. 6. After the recent African National Congress’ request for Caribbean leaders to support South African cricket, a delegation from the West Indies recently concluded a five day visit to South Africa. One of the delegates, Tony Cozier, commented that the purpose of the trip was to witness the amalgamation of the former white South African Cricket Union and the former black South African Cricket Board into the United Cricket Board of South Africa (10:58-14:59)
