Abstract

This article reports on the funeral of Vernon "Birdie" Mannette, the brother of pan arranger Ellie Mannette. It gives an account of some of the persons who attended the funeral such as politicians, pannists and musicians. It also mentions the street procession which took place to honour the deceased.
