GISL/UWI Collections

 

The Pilot Digitization Project (April 2013 to April 2015) was a joint venture between the Government Information Services Limited (GISL) and The University of the West Indies (UWI) at St. Augustine, projected to establish appropriate systems and workflows for the digital ingestion and cataloguing of broadcast video tapes that are in the custody of GISL.

GISL UWISpace Collection
UWISpace is a digital content management system which allows the potential user to search and access assets via MetaData. Full assets are available for viewing in the West Indiana and Special Collections Division of the Alma Jordan Library
“Hidden Treasures”
The hidden treasures website is designed to involve different age cohorts. The clips and images posted are intended to encourage persons with the interest and requisite knowledge to access and input information pertaining to the content and context of items in the collection that cannot be identified in-house.
