Item An outline of the geology of Trinidad(12/07/2010) Barr, K. W.; Saunders, J. B.This outline was presented to set the scene of the Fourth Caribbean Geological conference. It provides a background to the field excursions which will follow the technical sessions. Trinidad lies on the mobile northern side of the eastern Venezuela basin and was characterized, by intermittent tectonic activity which interrupted and modified the sedimentation. As a result, several local facies were developed which have no direct counterparts in eastern Venezuela.Item Integrating web-based instruction and classroom teaching : Case studies from the Caribbean(Proceedings of the IASTED International Conference Computers and Advanced Technology in Education CATE, 2003) Bernard, Margaret; Cummings, ThompsonItem Creating sharable learning objects from existing digital course content(31st Annual International Symposium on Computer Architecture Conference Proceedings, IEEE Computer Society, 2004) Singh, Rajendra G.; Bernard, Margaret; Gardler, RossItem A model for maintaining interoperability of coarse XML sharable learning objects after re-authoring in a standards based editor(Proceedings of the Winter International Symposium on Information and Communication Technologies WISICT04, 2004) Bernard, Margaret; Singh, Rajendra G.Item An Incremental Editor for Dynamic Hierarchical Drawing of Trees(Lecture Notes in Computer Science, 2004) Workman, David; Bernard, Margaret; Pothoven, StevenItem Heuristic Constraint-Path Routing Decision System(IEEE Computer Society, 2005-05-18) Sivakumar, Shyamala; Phillips, William J.; Robertson, William; Goodridge, WayneHeuristic QoS algorithms under strict constraints perform poorly in terms of finding a path that is suitable for a user?s QoS needs - the multiple constraint path problem (MCP). Exact QoS algorithms, on the other hand, guarantee that a path satisfying user needs would be found and o..er a more realistic approach for solving the MCP problem in view of the fact that the NP-complete character of graphs are not common in real networks. This fact has driven approaches like the SAMCRA and A*prune algorithms. However, these algorithms still have very high running times relative to heuristic approaches. When QoS routing algorithms are used in online Tra..c Engineering (TE) environments it may be necessary to route thousands of traffic flows each minute. Exact algorithms simply cannot work in such environments. We propose a heuristic algorithm that is suitable for working in an online TE environment. Simulations show that this algorithm produce high success rates in terms of finding suitable constraint paths for user flows while at the same time having execution times comparable to another heuristic based algorithms.Item NN-AirPol: a neural-networks-based method for air pollution evaluation and control(International Journal of Environment and Pollution 2006, 2006) Nikov, AlexanderItem The Delivery and Development of an online course using Open Source Learning Content Management Tools(4th Pan-Commonwealth Forum on Open Learning, 2006) Ramnanan, Anil; Bernard, MargaretItem Usability evaluation of web services by structural equation modeling(Mathematics and its Applications, University of West Indies, 2006) Nikov, Alexander; Zaim, Selim; Oztekin, AsilItem A Neural Networks-Based Evaluation Of Quality In The SMEs: An Application In Turkish Textile Sector(5th International Symposium on Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, 2006) Türkyılmaz, Ali; Gençyılmaz, Günes; Zaim, Selim; Nikov, AlexanderItem NN-GVEIN: Neural Network-Based Modeling of Velocity Profile inside Graft-To-Vein Connection(Proceedings of 5th International Symposium on Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, 2006) N., Arslan; Nikov, A.; Karaca, F.Item On thermal instabilities in a viscoelastic fluid(International Journal of Non-Linear Mechanics, 2006-01) Rahaman, Karim; Ramkissoon, H; Ramdath, G; Comissiong, D.Item An assessment of the biodegradation of petroleum hydrocarbons in contaminated soil using non-indigenous, commercial microbes(2007) Mohammed, D.; Ramsubhag, A.; Beckles, D.M.Item Swarm-Optimization-Based Affective Product Design Illustrated by a Pen Case-Study(International Journal of Computer and Information Engineering, 2007) Mohais, Arvind; Nikov, Alexander; Sahai, Ashok; Nesil, SelahattinItem Earthquake classifying neural networks trained with random dynamic PSOs(GECCO, 2007) Ward, Christopher; Mohais, Arvind S.; Mohais, Rosemarie; Posthoff, ChristianItem Bioavailability of PAHs sequestered in sediment: microbial study and model prediction(Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, 2007) Beckles, D.M.; Chen, W.; Hughes, J.BItem Teaching programming using visualization(Proceedings of the 6th IASTED International Conference on Web-based Education, 2007) Rudder, Andrew; Bernard, Margaret; Mohammed, ShareedaItem A Tunable Swarm-Optimization-Based Approach for Affective Product Design(Proc. 9th WSEAS Int.
