    Technical and Vocational Education and Training: Planning Workshop for Antigua and Barbuda

    This is the report of the national planning workshop organized by Antigua and Barbuda to plan for the territory’s technical and vocational education and training (TVET) system. The workshop, which involved all of the major stakeholders in TVET, produced planning matrices for TVET in five different areas: policy development and planning, management, curricula, staffing, and facilities.

    Training For Development: A review of the OUS/USAID Development Training Component of the Caribbean Leadership & Development Training Project 1991-1995

    The training project was carried out under the aegis of the Office of University Services, with a mandate to link the resources of the University of the West Indies (UWI) to the development and aspirations of the countries of the Eastern Caribbean. The purpose of the development training component of the project was to improve the productivity and the efficiency of the work force in the participating private and public sector organizations. It was designed to provide professional management and vocational training in a number of areas. The review provides an overview of the project and provides snapshot profiles of some of the beneficiaries of both long term and long term training.
