However, a political storm continues to brew over the referendum issue. In St. Vincent, the Attorney General Parnell Campbell states that he will not resign because of opposition pressure. Delegates from twenty-three member states of the ACS met to examine issues of cooperation and the development of regional policies on transport, trade and tourism. One of the first issue to be thrashed out was private sector participation in trade discussions. Trinidad and Tobago Ambassador for Trade Sheelagh De Osuna comments on this issue. In Jamaica, the value of the Jamaican dollar is under threat, once again and financial analyst Omri Evans comments on how this development is affecting the country.
