3. Thirty-three years ago, Cuba’s revolutionary army was battling an invading force of anti-Castro exiles at the Bay of Pigs in southern Cuba. Fidel Castro’s forces defeated the US backed invasion and now more than three decades later, Raoul Castro, commander of Cuba’s armed forces reminded the world that United States still has unwanted troops on Cuba soil. 4. An unusual political change is taking place in Aruba. The main partner in the coalition government has requested its two supporting parties to step down and make way for the main opposition party. In a surprise announcement Prime Minister Nelson Oduber of the People’s Electoral Movement said the coalition was achieving its goals and was not addressing financial and administrative problems facing the island. 5. Questions surrounding Trinidad and Tobago decision to seek early entry to NAFTA is expected to be tabled in parliament next week.
