Photograph shows President Noor Hassanali and Mrs. Hassanali escorted by Professor George Maxwell Richards, Principal of St. Augustine Campus during graduation exercises at St. Augustine Campus in 1993. President Hassanali was the second President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (1987 to 1997). Prof. Richards served as Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Principal of the University from 1980 to 1985. He was the Acting Principal of the St. Augustine Campus from 1984 to 1985, and was confirmed in the position in 1985. Prof. Richards retired as Principal of St. Augustine Campus in 1996. He was sworn into office on March 17, 2003 as the fourth President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. |
