Abstract
A couple of locals sit by the roadside in Port of Spain. In the background horse drawn carriages can be seen as well as the Treasury Building with its long rectangular windows obscured by a large leafy tree. This building is located on the corner of Edward Street and Independence Square, which was called Marine Square when this photograph was taken. The postcard is dated 31st January 1930 and it is addressed to Mrs. R.H. Stevenson of West Newton, Pennyslvannia. Affixed to the postcard is a one cent United States postage stamp.
