Abstract
One great Samaan tree, with a bench under it, almost fills this entire vintage photograph taken of the Queen's Park, Savannah, Port of Spain, Trinidad, British West Indies. One can get a sense of the vastness of this savannah. Many large trees stand on the horizon. Behind them, at right, a section of the Northern Range fades into the distance. Also in the distance near the right horizon is a sizable two story building.
