Abstract
This is an vintage postcard giving a glance at a race day at Queens Park Savannah, Port of Spain in days gone past. A vast grassy field is in the foreground, a pavilion is situated near the horizon with numerous spectators standing in front of it and large trees and palms behind. Someone is mounted on a horse near the centre horizon. The first recorded horse race took place here in 1828 and horse racing continued here frequently until 1994.
