Abstract

The government of the United States of America has found itself in the unusual position of being the defendant in a drug case. The US government is being sued by six passengers and crew members of a Belize Air International flight after they were unwittingly involved in a botched 1991 US drug sting operation. The Administration of President Bill Clinton is defending the continued role of US troops and dollars in Haiti. The Antigua Minister of Tourism, Bernard Percival comments on the attack on tourists and the impact of this negativity on Antigua's tourism. In Jamaica, the leadership challenge in the Opposition Jamaican Labour Party (JLP) continues to brew.
