Abstract: This program focuses on the new immigration act which removes the automatic right of Commonwealth citizens to bring their families to live with them. It also highlights some aspects of the impact of the results of the large majority vote at the annual Lambeth Conference in London, in favour of the right of individual provinces to accept women Bishops. The program also gives an update on Haitian politics and the latest actions by military leader General Henri Namphy, as he seeks to tighten his grip on power. Additionally, it takes a brief a look into the modern day practices of slavery and other forms of human exploitation in some major European and Asian countries, even as the Caribbean celebrates 150 years of abolition.
