Abstract: Guyana's President Desmond Hoyte has completed a five day official visit to Cuba. He has been touring the country, visiting farms, factories and schools, accompanied by President Castro. President Hoyte spoke to correspondent, Lionel Martin on the subjects of trade and foreign policy he discussed with President Castro. In St. Vincent and the Grenadines, elections are due by the end of November and Prime Minister, James Mitchell is standing in for another term. Anchor, Jerry Timmins asked him whether the unitary issue in the Eastern Caribbean will be one for his campaign. In Jamaica "the Gilbert factor" is being considered by the political parties to the run-up to the elections. The clandestine trade in illegal labour was brought to the news when forty seven Haitians sugar workers were killed in a traffic accident thirty kilometers north of Santo Domingo.
